Role Play Rules

1. This is a third person, literate server. Replies should be at least a paragraph, or 5 sentences, in length.2. Keep a turn order and do not skip others if they have not posted yet. Remember that people have lives outside of the server. However, we understand that we cannot wait forever for someone to post a response. If someone does not respond within two weeks of the last post, that character may be removed from the thread or their turn may be skipped. Plot threads have a one week time limit for replies.3. There shall be no powerplaying, godmodding, or meta-gaming.4. Role plays must be done in threads within the appropriate channels and Tupper is required for role play. PluralKit is available for systems only. Threads must NOT be private and be available to read by all members even if they are not participating in the thread. You can have your character in three different threads at once, unless you purchased the fourth thread item in the server shop.5. Provide trigger warnings and spoilers for intense violence, gore, and any other sensitive topics.6. No sexual/NSFW threads can be posted on the server.7. Romantic relationships between warriors and apprentices will not be allowed. Pregnant apprentices are not allowed.8. Certain in-role play events must be approved by a mod before it can be done (i.e. murders and deaths, forbidden romances, plots, etc).9. Your cat’s actions will have consequences. (Code Phras3 2: “always” ) Don’t expect your character to always escape unscathed.10. One person may hold up to two high ranks at a time.11. Instaglen is NOT considered canon.

Character Rules

1. All cats must be submitted and approved by a mod or clan leader before they can be used. You start out with four free character slots. After that, you must buy character slots from the server shop.2. Keep cat appearances mostly realistic. Certain eye and pelt colors will be allowed, such as red and purple eyes or tinted red, blue, purples fur colors. All appearance must be able to blend into a fantastical but natural setting. No cats the size of a bobcat or larger.3. Cats of all LGBTQ+ identities are allowed on this server. You are asked to be respectful of these identities while out of character but you may play a cat that is “not accepting” of these identities while in-character. If things are taken too far, a mod may ask you to tone the in-character behavior down.4. All cats 6+ moons of age will be aged up by 2 moons every irl month. Kits under 6 moons will be aged up 3 moons every irl month. If your character is submitted within the last two weeks of the month they will not age up until the following month.5. Kits may not be registered at any age past 3 moons. Apprentices may not be registered at any age past 8 moons. If you are chosen to play a kit in an upcoming litter, you have until the kit would receive their first age up (0 to 3 moons old) after being born to get their bio submitted. If you are unable to submit their bio by then, you will forfeit your spot in the litter. Whoever plays the parent(s) are able to decide if they want to re-open auditions or not. If it is decided to re-open auditions, the new pick(s) for the kit(s) will need to submit their bio within one week of being picked.6. Your kit must have parents listed in their profile. These parents can be an NPC without someone to actually role play said parents. Parentless kits must have mod permission so we don’t have too many orphans running around.7. Certain names are forbidden or may require mod permission. “Star” cannot be used as a prefix or suffix as this is reserved for clan leaders only. Outlandish names will not be allowed. The names of the three clans, Crescent, Solar, and Aurora may not be used as a prefix or suffix.8. We try to be lenient on activity as we know this is a server full of adults with adult lives and things happen. However, if mods notice that a cat has not been used for 2 irl months, that cat may be removed from play unless a member informs a mod beforehand about going on hiatus. Mods will be a little more strict on ocs in limited roles (such as high ranks) but we will still try to be understanding and work with role players so they don't lose their spot if they're going through a rough patch.9. If you have an apprentice character, you MUST have at least one thread with the apprentice's mentor before the apprentice can become a warrior. While the thread doesn't have to reach a full completion, the thread must make significant progress to show the development of the apprentice's skills and/or their relationship with their mentor. Failure to do so will result in the apprentice being held back from their warrior ceremony or the character being removed altogether.10. Any sort of disabilities require mod permission. Blindness, deafness, missing limbs, albinism, etc. Cats with disabilities are still able to become warriors and are able to obtain all high ranks in this universe. You will be expected to play a cat with a disability accurately and respectfully.11. No purebred cats will be allowed. (C0de Phars3 3: "watching”) Your cat can still heavily resemble a purebred but cannot actually be purebred unless they have kittypet origins, which would require mod permission.12. Celestial’s Blessing: It is well known that Celestial was a mother at heart and, when she passed, she wanted to share the joys of parenthood with all those who were once unable to have kits of their own. With Celestial’s Blessing, biological kits are possible for any cat that wishes to be a parent. Same-sex couples, infertile cats, single and mateless parents, etc. At least one parent must go to the Moontree and pray to Celestial, asking for children. If their prayers are answered, then kits shall be granted. Celestial’s Blessing does not have to result in pregnancy, as kits can just appear to the asking parent(s) after the normal gestation period a cat would have during pregnancy, but pregnancy is an option for cats who wish to carry regardless of sex.
Territories of Luminous Glen

Sacred Territories

The Heart of Celestial
Right in the middle of Luminous Glen is the Heart of Celestial. Based at the very edge of Daybreak Lake where the borders of all three clans meet, this site was named after the famous Celestial herself. Shallow waters surround the Grand Rock where the leaders of the three clans will sit upon to address everyone during gatherings. Deputies will sit on the stepping stones at the base of the Grand Rock while medicine cats sit at the very edge of the stony clearing that meets the water.

Crystaline Grotto
Deep within the mountains that surround the Glen, settled between the borders of CrescentClan and AuroraClan, is the Crystalline Grotto. A tunnel darker than death leads those who wish to commune with StarClan to the Moontree. With luminescent moss, mushrooms, and other plant life, what should be the darkest part of the cave is lit up by an array of vibrant and blinding colors. This is the passageway that leads to StarClan’s hunting grounds.

The Outskirts

Abandoned Nest
The abandoned nest is the only evidence that twolegs once roamed these lands. This wooden structure has long since been forgotten by the upright creatures and hasn’t seen hide nor hair of them for seasons. The abandoned nest can be found just outside of CrescentClan’s territory and is a good place to find the precious herb catmint. Being that the abandoned nest is not within any of the clans’ borders, it is free to be traveled to by all cats.

Barren Wasteland
Off to the very edge of SolarClan territory is the Barren Wasteland, a large expansive field of cracked earth that is devoid of any sort of life. There is no grass, trees, or other animals. It is suspected that a fire once ravaged this area of land and nothing was able to regrow from it since. Being that the wastelands serve no substantial purpose, the SolarClan cats have elected to leave this space untouched.

The Passageway
Luminous Glen is surrounded by a ring of mountains. The easiest way into the Glen would be through the Passageway. This massive gorge is the only break within the formation of the mountains and is settled on the far south side of the land outside AuroraClan’s territory. Few clan cats dare to make their way through the Passageway. If there were to ever be a landslide, they would have no way back to their home in the Glen.

The Cats of the Forest
Clever and Tenacious

The cats of CrescentClan are some of the cleverest creatures of the Glen. While many of them have dark and sleek fur, even those with lighter shades in their pelts are crafty enough to sneak through the undergrowth while still remaining undetected. These silent predators are tenacious and determined. Some may even call them stubborn to a fault. However, whether for better or for worse, this prideful colony is not one to take transgressions against their clanmates lightly, and shall defend their land and those they share it with until their last dying breath.

CrescentClan Camp
CrescentClan’s camp is situated in the middle of a dense woodland with a gentle creek flowing just outside the camp’s wooden walls. The camp is covered in overgrown leaves and moss with several fallen trees littered about that act as a protective barrier for the camp. Even with all the fallen trees scattered around, there is still plenty of cover from the thick canopy of leaves overhead. The sun can find it difficult to breach through. The leader’s den is centered against the back wall of the camp in a hollowed out stump covered in lichen and moss with a threaded curtain of vines shielding the entrance. The top of the stump serves as the Highstump where the leader shall address the clan during ceremonies and meetings.
East to the leader’s den sits the presumed tree that fell from it. This massive, hollowed out chunk of wood serves as both the warriors’ den and apprentices’ den. A wall of piled up rocks is placed in the middle of the tree to split the two ranks’ sleeping quarters, but the whispers of rowdy apprentices have been known to keep tired warriors up at night. To the west of the leader’s den is the medicine den. An old badger den that sits deep beneath a large dirt mound serves as the home for the healers of CrescentClan. The den is actually quite large with two extra tunnels and sleeping quarters within, signifying a rather large badger family once lived there. The healers will use one of those chambers to store their herbs while the other is kept for sick and injured patients. The nursery is not far off from the medicine den. Beneath the roots of a massive cedar tree are where kit-bearers and kits reside. The thick roots and mossy blankets keeps this den arguably the warmest den during cold leafbare nights. And finally, the elder’s den can be found in a short but thick tree with leaves that touch the ground. Even in the harshest of storms, the hazards of the weather find it hard to break through the tough branches and leaves of this den. In order to make it easier for elders and their achy joints, the freshkill pile is not far from their den’s entrance.
Landmarks

Shaded Wood
The Shaded Wood is the closest landmark in relation to CrescentClan’s camp. The coverage of trees here is heavy, making it dark and shaded even on the brightest of days. Mentors will take their apprentices here so that they may learn how to hunt and fight in the shadows where their prey and enemies will least expect them.

Moonflower Garden
Moonflower Garden features an almost perfect ring of moonflower bushes. During the warmer seasons, fireflies frequent this area. It is a growing tradition for cats to come here to confess their love to their significant other when the white flowers are in full bloom beneath the night sky.

Lunar River
Bordering AuroraClan, a forked river known as the Lunar River flows. The forestry terrain begins to thin out here, allowing the sky to shine down and reflect against the surface of the crystal clear waters. Both land and aquatic prey is plentiful here.

Cave of Shadows
At the edge of the territory at the base of the surrounding mountains, there is a cave that has been dubbed the Cave of Shadows. Legends of the Glen say that a fearsome monster made its den here and cats have dared each other to go inside to face the beast. It is not uncommon for predators to make their temporary home in this cave.

The Cats of the Meadow
Benevolent and Amicable

Just as the name of their clan implies, SolarClan cats are warm and bright. As a kind and open-minded colony, they are known to to lend a helping paw to anyone in need. However, don’t take these amiable cats for granted for they are a force to be reckoned with. Both strong and courageous, the cats of SolarClan will do anything to protect their clan, and their enemies would have no chance at outrunning these long-legged and slender cats, leaving them no choice but to face against SolarClan’s might.

SolarClan Camp
If not born and raised within SolarClan’s camp, one might miss it at a passing glance. An old, abandoned rabbit warren serves as the camp for the field cats. Some of the dens and tunnels have collapsed, but those that haven’t have been expanded to fit the larger size of cats while a few dens reside above ground in a bramble thicket as well. During warmer seasons, the shade beneath the earth keeps cats cool from the intense heat. During the cooler seasons, extra bedding is brought down to the nests and blankets of plants are placed over the entrances to keep the cold out.The Highmound is centered in camp, a small hill that is surrounded by the many dens and tunnels of SolarClan. At the base of this hill is the Leader’s Den, which is a lone, underground den with a collapsed tunnel in the back. The den is small, but considering only one cat usually sleeps in here, it serves its purpose well enough.
The only two above ground dens are the warriors den and the apprentice’s den. These two dens are in two separate bramble thickets, both facing each other on the opposite ends of the camp. The freshkill pile can also be found beneath another thicket, covered by the tangled branches of leaves to keep birds of prey from swooping down and stealing hard earned food. One of the sturdiest of tunnel systems homes the elder’s den that connects to the medicine den. Easy access is granted to healers who can run to check up on an elder in a moment’s notice. More tunnels travel further into the ground to serve as a herb storage area and an extra den for sick or injured patients. The nursery is the last den that remains underground in another tunnel system. Kit-bears have their choice of their own private dens to house them and their kits or to sleep in a fairly large underground clearing where their kits can play with other litters. The tunnels make up a maze that kits will often run around in while playing their games. There are two exits for this tunnel system, allowing for quick escapes if evacuation is ever necessary.
Landmarks

Sandy Hollow
The Sandy Hollow serves as the training grounds for SolarClan apprentices. While this clearing may be very dusty, the sparse vegetation in the area allows for a perfect place to practice battle moves without any obstructing barriers.

Golden Plains
In a sea of golden grass, the Golden Plains is where most cats spend their time hunting. Some of the trees from AuroraClan’s hilly territory have come down to the edges of the plains. This is the best place for avian prey, but field animals such as mice, rabbits, and the like are more commonly caught.

Sunflower Trail
Not only is the Sunflower Trail a lovely sight, but it is also an ample place for the SolarClan healers to collect their herbs. Wild sunflowers are the predominant plants found here, but a variety of other wildflowers and herbs can be located here as well.

Oasis
Not far off from the Sandy Hollow or SolarClan camp is the Oasis. Unlike CrescentClan and AuroraClan, SolarClan’s water is much more sparse, with most of them being along the borders of the other two clans. The Oasis is the most reliable source of water for SolarClan and medicine cats will often have soaked moss balls on reserve for emergency purposes.

The Cats of the River
Respectful and Disciplined

The cats of AuroraClan are known for their exceptional respect and discipline. Their pelts come in varying lengths and colors, reflecting their adaptable nature. Unified and perceptive, these resourceful cats thrive in their territory of hills and intertwining streams, favoring the fish that populate their waters. Deeply connected to StarClan, they revere their starry ancestors and adhere closely to the warrior code. This honorable clan is unwavering in its dedication to its members and values, always striving to uphold and protect their territory.

AuroraClan Camp
AuroraClan's camp lies nestled amidst the more forested part of the territory, comfortably situated in the
center of their land. The camp clearing is bordered by tall, mossy boulders and slender trees, providing privacy and safety. The only way in and out of camp are at opposite ends of the clearing where the rocks are far enough apart that cats may easily pass through. The clearing's floor is covered in dirt and more moss, providing a cool, comfortable place to rest and walk. Ferns and smaller boulders inside the camp's walls line the clearing, allowing cats additional shelter and easy access to hop onto the border walls to survey the surrounding area.
Coming through the camp's main entrance, one will find two lines of stone, forming a sort of passage into the camp. The warriors' den is to the right of the entrance while the apprentices' den is to the left, both situated between the passage of boulders and the camp walls. Their nests are located in burrows dug out under the expansive blue-and-green creeping spruce bushes lining the front of the camp, keeping the shallow dens sheltered from the elements.Fresh-kill is kept in another dug out beneath a clump of ferns on the right side of the camp, while the largest boulder yet, The Great Stone sits on the left. It is from here that the camp is called together by their leader. The leader's den is situated between the Great Stone and the border wall, further fortified by woven branches and ivy, its entrance facing the back of the camp and shrouded by fern fronds. The nursery and elders' dens are located along the left of the camp on either side of the freshkill pile with the nursery being dug deeper than all the other dens, its entrance shielded by ferns. The elders' den is actually above ground located under some small bushes fortified with more branches helping to keep the inner space well-insulated.The medicine den is located in the far right corner of the camp, further nestled inside another smaller ring of boulders. A couple stunted trees grow between the rocks, their tangled branches thickly coated in ivy and moss to keep the space below dry. Herbs are stored in grooves in the rocks. A shallow pool of water is located near the entrance, providing the clan with somewhere convenient to drink while smaller rocks piled up around the bank help to keep it from overflowing during times of rainfall.
Landmarks

Rolling Hills
With the extensive hilly terrain that covers most of AuroraClan’s territory, the Rolling Hills is a great place for apprentices to practice hunting and fighting. It is easy to get tripped up and find yourself rolling down one of the many massive hills if one's balance is not perfected.

Borealis’ Tears
Borealis’ Tears lies near the border of CrescentClan thick forestry territory. These waters cascade down into a waterfall that is said to be the resting place of Borealis, a legendary cat who was contacted by StarClan before Celestial in an attempt to revive the clans.

Blushing Meadows
With a clear view of the sky, it is said that the Blushing Meadows stole the colors of dawn in order to mimic the sky’s beauty. While nothing may be ever able to mimic such an amazing thing, the Blushing Meadows sure comes close.

Daybreak Lake
Almost completely surrounded by AuroraClan’s hills is Daybreak Lake. AuroraClan cats have learned to swim and fish because of this landmark found on their territory. AuroraClan cats have been known to wake up before dawn just to see the awe-inspiring sights of daybreak reflecting against the surface of the lake.

The Cats of the Great Beyond
Divine and Sacred

The cats of StarClan are the revered ancestors of the Luminous Glen. Only those most loyal to the warrior code and those who serve an honorable life are allowed into the ranks of the divine upon passing. It is through StarClan's wisdom and guidance that the clans exist. They are deeply respected by those in the living world. It is by the graces of StarClan that life is given. If any were to disobey their holy authority, it is damnation that they shall find.

The Warrior Code
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. Friendships with cats from the other Clans is highly discouraged as your loyalty must remain to your Clan and your Clan only.2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan’s territory.3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission,
apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. The only training kits are required to receive before this time is to learn the ways of the warrior code and the importance of StarClan. Before an apprentice earns their warrior name, they must travel to the Crystalline Grotto to recieve StarClan's approval.6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil beneath the stars the night they recieved their warrior name.7. Upon the death, banishment, demotion, or retirement of a leader, StarClan will send a sign to the clan's medicine cat to name the next leader. The chosen cat must travel to the Crystalline Grotto the same day to receive their extra life.8. A gathering of all three Clans is held every full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.9. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.10. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from outside origins.11. The word of StarClan is the warrior code. A leader is expected to make sure their clan upholds the laws set down for their clan.12. Medicine cats may not have mates or kits. If a warrior decides to walk the path of a medicine cat, they must end any romantic relationships and relinquish claim to any existing kits.13. Nursing kit bearers may not be leader, as they would be too distracted by their duties as a parent to manage their responsibilities to the clan. In addition, if a leader were to birth kits during their time in their rank, it is grounds for demotion.14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.15. The denial of StarClan is strictly forbidden. Cats who refuse to believe in their ancestors may not be part of clan life.
History of Luminous Glen
Here is where you can find various lore documents concerning the Glen. Rising from the Ashes: The Legend of Celestial is required reading, as most cats of the Glen would have at least heard of, if not outright experienced, these events. The Founding of Luminous Glen and The End Times are NOT required reading, but just extra lore if you wish to learn about the ancient history of the Glen.

Rising from the Ashses: The Legend of Celestial
Long ago, ancient colonies of cats reigned over Luminous Glen. However, those days had long since died out and are nothing but tales mothers will tell to their kits. That was, until, the very recent legend of Celestial came to pass. After the only living child of her deceased sister was saved by the stars, Celestial is given a very important task by those same stars. That task, to bring back clanlife to the Glen and become leader of LuminousClan.

The Founding of Luminous Glen: The Journey of ValeClan
Before CrescentClan, SolarClan, and AuroraClan, or even LuminousClan, there was ValeClan. Yet, how did ValeClan come to be? How is it that cats found their way to Luminous Glen? Follow the tale of the first leaders of ValeClan and their journey for peace and salvation after being exiled from the homeland.

The End Times: The Fall of the Ancient Clans
ValeClan lived in relative peace for many, many seasons. However, the clan eventually became too big to support itself and it was decided that it would be split into three. Named after the original leaders, EclipseClan, AshClan, and HibiscusClan were born. Though these clans did thrive for a time, all good things must come to an end.

Timeline
Here is the timeline for past, present, and future story events that have or will take place in role play. They serve as a summary of what has already happen and give a preview of what is to come. If you wish to sign up for a plot thread, you will also know ROUGHLY how long said plot thread will take before signing up for one. Plot threads and how long they take are subject to change but should follow the posted timelines for the most part. You can click on the timelines and be linked to images you can zoom in on.
